Dark Chocolate Whole Wheat Brownies

These dark chocolate whole wheat brownies are rich and decadent, and the whole wheat flour makes them a little healthier. This is the perfect way to satisfy your chocolate cravings without feeling too bad about it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 175F 350C

A 9x9-inch baking pan should be greased

Melt the dark chocolate chips and butter together in a bowl that can go in the microwave

Stir the mixture until it is smooth

Mix the eggs, vanilla extract, and coconut sugar in a different bowl until everything is well mixed

Add the melted chocolate to the bowl with the sugar and eggs

Toss in the cocoa powder, salt, and whole wheat flour until just mixed in

Spread out the batter in the baking pan that has been prepared

If you stick a toothpick into the middle and it comes out with wet crumbs, the cake is done

Let the brownies cool all the way in the pan before you cut them into squares
